Mind Pad common commands
Workspace in Mind Pad is an area of Mind Pad window where you can
create new objects (frames) and link them. Workspace provides you with
ability to create and change all objects, also you have some means to
manage results of your work.
- Project options.
Right click on the workspace and select "Project
options..." in menu. "Project properties" dialog
will appear. With project options you can change information about
project (title, keywords, category, author and other) and coloring
scheme (background color, selection color).

commands. Mind Pad file functions allow to create, open and
save projects, use templates, export and print our workspace
image.
- Editing functions.
With Mind Pad you can cut, copy and paste frames and related
links.
- Workspace. Mind Pad most
useful workspace commands. Select the type of object to place at
workspace, use layout commands;
- Search functions. With
Mind Pad you can find objects on workspace.
- View commands. Use
commands in View menu to change workspace scale and display the
lists of available frame and link styles.
- Tools and scripts commands. Create your own script for Mind Pad.
Objects in Mind Pad:
There are two types of objects in Mind Pad - Frames and Links.
Frame is an object with some attributes and link is an object that
create a visual relation between two frames.
- Frames. The basic frame object
is a rectangle with text inside.
- Links. The link object is a
line that starts at source object and ends at destination object.
- Frame and Link styles. In Mind
Pad you don't need to change color or font settings for objects or
links one by one. In Mind Pad you deal with
"Styles".
Mind Pad enhancement
- Model Editor. Model Editor allows
to create class of frame objects with new properties. It simpler
words it means that you can add more properties to standard frames
and use new frames on your work-space.
- Scripting. Mind
Pad use Visual Basic.NET as a scripting language. All Microsoft
.NET Framework classes and
interfaces are available in your script.
- Image
Library. Image library in Mind Pad allows inserting picture
into a topic.
