Select group of CIOs from a variety of industries/sectors came in response to the challenge.
They answered these questions:
1) Do you always know how many machines and how many entry points there are in your infrastructure?
2) Do you know exactly what business process/es each machine in your entire IT set up handles at any point in time?
3) Can you ensure complete IT alignment with business without ever having to dish out tens of thousands of dollars to a consultant, but rather have a small and dedicated team or committee of business users and IT personnel?
4) True or False? There are technologies that give you the visibility you need in order to keep track of and manage not only the key parts of your infrastructure, but rather every single piece of your IT setup as well as the myriad business processes they enable—in an automated fashion, at the speed of light, and at a fraction of the cost of a consultant or an army of systems administrators.

The most popular technique is process mapping, of course.
You can read their statements, it's very cognitive.
