We will take some notes about three programs - Nvivo, Nudist N6 and Decision Explorer.
First of all, of course, it is over to you to check what is more suitable for you.
But, it is important to take into account, that:
NVivo has a modeling feature which allows you to develop your models and to click on any of the elements within that model which will take you to the data that you have coded at that element/node. You can also export to Decision Explorer.
NUD*IST is the generic name for the QSR packages as a whole (The NUD stands for Non Numerical Unstructured Data, and the IST refers to Indexing Systematizing and Theorizing). The latest version of NUD*IST is version N6 and that also enables you to export nodes to Decision Explorer (but and you can also import from Decision Explorer).
To combine this software with mind mapping tools, you can use export as a document and import as a document. The problem is compatibility of formats, of course. But it depends on specific tools. |
