Vym from Novell is a smart little open-source tool for mind mapping.
At first sight, a vym mind map might look like a child's scribble or drawing.
vym comes with the latest edition of SUSE LINUX Professional (9.3, at this time) or can be downloaded as RPM package for SUSE LINUX Professional 9.1 and 9.2 from SourceForge.
Main features:
- mind mapping (colors, icons);
- note taking (notes can be a part of the map);
- linking with other maps and documents;
- you can work with several different maps at the same time;
- background design.
